OPI and China Glaze. They really are the best. But the prevent chipping you might want to do a base coat before nail polish and top coat after nail polish. They help a LOT to prevent chipping. My favourite base coat is Sallu Hansen Maximum Growth Phase I. It makes the nails very strong. My favourite top coat is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip top Coat.

Adding more nail polish to the thick nail polish doesn't work.


Add a very, very small amount of remover to the bottle and shake. Keep adding gradually until you get the desired consistentcy. The reason I say this is because if you're not used to adding it, you add too much and your polish is ruined (unless you add a bit of clear polish, which only works half the time).
It always does. Some people put it in the refrigerator. I would suggest buying the smaller bottles, as the ones without it are worse and thicken up and make a mess of your nails. I tried putting some nail polish remover with little results. Buy nail polish that has a ball inside that mixes the nail polish up. It is better. Makeup isn't meant to last very long. You should replace all makeup by 6 months as it actually goes bad.
in my opinion, adding some clear nailpolish to the bottle is better than adding polish remover. if the polish is metallic the remover may take the metallic look away.


to be on the safe side and not risking the remover to ruin your color, i would add the clear nailpolish.
When you want to use the thick nail polish, pour a jug of boiling water until there will be enough to just cover the glass part of the bottle. Then hold the polish in there for about a minute or so.
Add a little remover and mix it up...this will thin it out. Alternately...use it up quicker or buy smaller sizes....

Many people despise it and label it emo. You have to have some degree of self-confindence to pull it off with out getting your feelings hurt. I wear it all the time. I'm not emo. Probally one of the farthest people from it. I just happen to adore the color black. It's classy and streamline. Matches with everything. Maybe try starting off with black tips first, the first time you go all black on your nails it might scare you at first. Hope I helped! Oh and I advise using OPI Black Onex

If Lindsey Lohan did anything right, it was bring black polish into common use. When i was in High School only goths wore it but now anyone can with the right outfit and skin tone.





I think if you're tan then solid black (Channel has the best) looks great. I wouldn't do it if i were wearing head to toe black, it's a little severe, but even in the summer time when you're wearing bright blues or greens, as long as the nails are short (and squared off) it looks fresh and modern. Even a blue black looks good, as long as your skin is darker.





Now if you have a light complexion i suggest maybe a black with some red in it. Maybe even less of a black and more of a dark blood red. Black polish on a pale white hand just isn't a great look.





Whatever the version of black you get, make sure your nails are short (and i think even better with a squared off tip) and make sure you have nice hands. A dark or drastic color (weather it's Jet Black or Hot Pink) can only be pulled off by someone with a personality to do it and the hands to make it rock.
i think it looks right with the right outfit it goes with a lot of types of clothes rock goth not sure about evening wear though xx

i hate how since people figure it's so cold out now, they wear dark nail polish. neon colors are so in now, and they would look great against your skin AND they would look certainly brighten up a cold winter day. try a neon pink or purple.
